Wild Thingz launches free Halloween sweets promotion with Ocado

News

Wild Thingz has launched a new Halloween promotion with Ocado, offering shoppers free sweets when they buy the brand during October.

The ‘Halloween On Us’ campaign will see customers who purchase any Wild Thingz product through Ocado receive a complimentary bundle of the brand’s organic treat-size sweets.

Shoppers can claim by uploading their Ocado receipt or delivery confirmation through the Wild Thingz website, with successful applicants receiving at least 24 packets of sweets ahead of Halloween.

The promotion forms part of the brand’s wider ‘No Trickz. Just Treatz.’ campaign, aimed at encouraging families to switch to products with less sugar and no artificial colours or flavours.

Wild Thingz makes plant-based fruity sweets using natural flavourings and claims its range contains half the sugar of leading UK sweet brands.

Founder Fliss Newland said: “Halloween is all about having fun, but we know the cost of all those little extras can quickly add up for families.

“We wanted to do something a bit wild this year – not just talk about making a better choice, but actually put the treats on us.”

She added that the campaign was designed to show that shoppers could opt for sweets with less sugar and no artificial colours or flavours without compromising on enjoyment.

Newland, a former Mondelez marketer, founded Wild Thingz with the aim of creating confectionery targeted at both children and health-conscious parents.

Alongside Ocado, the brand is stocked through Amazon, Whole Foods Market, Planet Organic, Center Parcs, Everyone Active and a network of independent retailers.

The Halloween promotion will run throughout October, with free bundles sent directly to qualifying customers while stocks last.
