One Planet Pizza renews Asda retail listing
One Planet Pizza has expanded its partnership with Asda and has secured a third listing at the supermarket retailer’s frozen meat-free aisle.
The new product is set to launch in Asda stores nationwide from 11 May for a recommended retail price of £3.
This move builds on the success of the brand, recently achieving the milestone of surpassing £1m in retail sales, according to research from NielsenIQ.
According to the business, this reflects on the strong partnership with Asda and builds on the ongoing retail demands for brands driving growth in the plant-based category.
One Planet Pizza has increased sales by over 100 per cent year on year, and the brand has expanded its retail footprint with a launch into 255 Co-op stores nationwide.

Co-founder of One Planet Pizza, Joe Hill said: “There’s a narrative that plant-based is slowing down, but that’s not what we’re seeing.
“What’s actually happening is a shift – shoppers aren’t turning away from plant-based; they’re turning away from products that don’t deliver. The opportunity is much bigger than many people think. When you start winning over dairy-free shoppers as well as vegans, you’re tapping into a far more mainstream audience.”
One Planet Pizza stated the Asda listing would strengthen its position within the frozen category, which aims to appeal to flexitarians shoppers as well.
Additionally, the brand is pushing towards catering to dairy-free consumers and more health-conscious shoppers.
