THIS launches new plant-based deli slices into Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons
Plant-based brand THIS is expanding its ready-to-eat offering this spring with the launch of two new deli slice products aimed at lunch, snacking and food-to-go occasions.
The new lines, THIS Isn’t Roast Chicken Slices and THIS Butter Bean, Garlic and Paprika Slices, will launch from 22 April at an RRP of £2.95 per 95g pack.
Waitrose will stock both products from launch, while Sainsbury’s will also range the pair and Morrisons will list the Butter Bean, Garlic and Paprika Slices.
The launches mark a further push by THIS into protein-led plant-based products, with both lines positioned as ready-to-eat options for sandwiches, salads, snacks and premium picnic occasions.
The THIS Isn’t Roast Chicken Slices have been designed to offer a more convincing texture than traditional plant-based deli options, targeting shoppers looking for a meat-free alternative without compromising on bite or flavour.
Meanwhile, the Butter Bean, Garlic and Paprika Slices offer a more distinctive flavour profile, tapping into growing consumer interest in bean-based ingredients and more adventurous lunch options.
Both products are high in protein, low in saturated fat, and a source of vitamin B12 and iron, with THIS targeting flexitarians, health-conscious consumers and shoppers seeking convenient lunch solutions with stronger nutritional credentials.
The brand said the slices are intended to work across a range of everyday meal occasions, from sandwiches and salads to quick snacks eaten straight from the pack.
THIS added that the launch reflects its wider focus on delivering plant-based products that combine taste, texture and nutrition, while broadening the appeal of meat-free options beyond core vegan shoppers.
