Waitrose opens Barnet store following multi-million pound revamp
Waitrose has reopened the doors to a supermarket in Barnet following a multi-million pound renovation which was designed to deliver a better experience for shoppers.
This follows an eight-week transformation which includes upgraded service counters and expanded fish and meat counters.
Additionally, there is a redesigned bakery offering, new energy-efficient refrigeration and electronic shelf-edge labels.
Local shoppers will be able to collect John Lewis, Waitrose Entertaining and Waitrose Cellar orders in stores and get home delivery from Uber Eats and Deliveroo.
Charles Brewer, branch manager of Waitrose, said: “We are delighted to welcome customers to our newly refreshed store. I want to thank them for their patience and continued support while our team worked hard behind the scenes.

“Food lovers can look forward to a fantastic experience, from our new dry-aged beef counter and redesigned bakery to a wider range of high-quality produce.
“Whether it’s for a special occasion or those everyday essentials, we hope our customers will enjoy everything their new store has to offer.”
This is part of the retailer’s multi-year £1bn real estate investment plan and has planned out a number of refurbishments for 2026.
Earlier this month, Waitrose also reopened the doors to its Haslemere West Street store following renovations to the location.
Additionally, the retailer has announced the development of a new 360,000 sq ft distribution centre at Mountpark’s Bristol 360, which will supply nearly 50 Waitrose shops.
