M&S has reopened the doors to its Anlaby Hull food store yesterday after a six-week refurbishment programme.

The high street retailer has renovated the14,000 sq ft fresh market-style store to include a new layout and an expanded range of products.

Additionally, there is also a new in-store bakery and coffee counter, which serves a range of barista-made hot drinks, and there is a selection of baked goods.

As part of the store reopening, Hull FC players Joe Batchelor and Herman Ese’ese joined the store manager and M&S’ Percy Pig to officially welcome customers back inside.

“It was particularly special to be joined by the Hull FC players to cut the ribbon and a massive thanks to my whole team who have worked hard to get the store ready.

“To our customers, I promise the transformed store has been worth the wait, and we can’t wait to welcome you back and showcase the trusted value and exceptional quality we have, alongside that touch of M&S magic, of course.”

The retailer will have a larger fresh produce selection alongside a dedicated flower shop and the brand’s private label M&S’ Remarksable Value range.

This move is part of the supermarket’s wider expansion plan, with twelve stores renovated this financial year.
