HelloFresh and Scouts partner to teach young people cooking
HelloFresh has launched a partnership with Scouts to help over 127,000 people between the ages of 10 and 14 to build cooking skills.
The collaboration will see 150,000 volunteers delivering activities to nearly 7,000 Scout Troops to help young people follow recipes independently.
HelloFresh will sponsor the Scouts’ chef badge, expanding the programme, which will support the group as they explore everything from meal prep and food safety to understanding balanced nutrition and reducing waste.
Phillip Doran, CEO at HelloFresh UK & Ireland, said: “Cooking is one of the most valuable life skills a young person can learn.

“By partnering with Scouts, we’re helping hundreds of thousands of young people gain confidence in the kitchen, understand good nutrition, and discover that preparing food from scratch can be fun, achievable and rewarding.”
The partnership reinforces the business’ mutual values of sustainability and reducing food waste, said the business, and it builds on its commitment to supporting charitable initiatives and access to healthy food, with collaborations including The Felix Project.
Carl Hankinson, UK chief volunteer, Scouts, said: “We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with HelloFresh.
“Thanks for HelloFresh’s support, we’ve refreshed our much-loved Scouts’ Chef Activity Badge, ensuring it reflects the growing need for young people to master this essential life skill.”
