Chipotle launches high-protein menu
Chipotle is set to debut a high-protein menu tomorrow (13 January), following a successful US launch last month.
This move is a response to the rapidly growing consumer trend of increasing protein intake across the UK and aims to offer convenient ways for people to meet their goals.
Anat Davidzon, managing director, International at Chipotle said: “Since opening in the UK, our guests have used Chipotle’s build-your-own menu to create high-protein meals that fit their lifestyle.
“Our new curated High Protein Menu makes it even easier, with fresh, responsibly sourced ingredients and flexible portions to help meet protein and other dietary goals.”

The development of the new menu comes as research found that nearly half of UK adults increased their protein intake last year, which grew to two-thirds among 16- to 34-year-olds.
The offers include meals which contain between 15 and 81 grams of protein per item and prices start at £2.95 for a Single Chicken Taco and £3.65 for a High Protein Cup of Adobo Chicken.
The food items on the protein menu include:
- · High Protein Cup With Adobo Chicken
- · High Protein Cup With Steak
- · Adobo Chicken Taco
- · Double High Protein Bowl
- · Double Protein Burrito
Customers will be able to order the High Protein Cup and Single Chicken Taco in-restaurant, and the full menu will be available digitally via Chipotle’s marketplace partners.
