Aldi expands protein range

Aldi is adding to its protein range by launching two new protein balls in 40g formats priced at 69p each.

The discounter is offering Peanut Protein Balls and a Cocoa & Raspberry flavour, which include 9.8g and 5.7g of protein, respectively.

Aldi said it aims to offer affordable, healthy options for customers, with the product being priced at 57% less than rival M&S’ option.

The new protein balls join the retailer’s range of protein products, including Gianni’s High Protein Ice Cream Tubs priced at £2.59 for 473ml in Chocolate Brownie and Salted Caramel flavours.

Aldi also launched a new Golden Bridge Layered Protein Bar for £1.69 each and Golden Bridge Protein Multigrain Hoops for £2.49.

Other products on the list include Savour Bakes Protein Rice Cakes, Emporium High Protein Cheese and Bramwells Express High Protein Noodle Pots for £1.29, £1.99 and 99p, respectively.

Aldi also ramped up its vegan range ahead of Veganuary to help shoppers kick off health and fitness goals.
