HelloFresh to develop AI-powered recipe cards
Meal kit delivery service HelloFresh has announced plans to use artificial intelligence (AI) in its recipe card development process to shorten its production timeline.
HelloFresh plans to launch the new AI-powered recipe cards in the first quarter of 2026 for UK customers.
According to the company, the new upgrade decreases the timeline for producing recipe cards from several weeks to a few hours, allowing for increased efficiency.
The AI tool automates the visual design and edits of the recipe cards, while chefs and food stylists will create each recipe to ensure customers can still receive human-designed dishes.
The business plans to accelerate the time for recipe card production and respond to new design trends at a quicker pace.

HelloFresh said the dish and meal recipes will continue to be created by human chefs and food experts to maintain the quality.
Assaf Ronen, group president of Hello Fresh, said: “After years of serving millions of customers around the world, HelloFresh has built the world’s largest recipe database, paired with a wealth of proprietary insights into what people love to cook and eat.
“This depth of culinary data is a key differentiator that allows our technology to bring together creativity, personalisation, and speed in a way that elevates the home experience for every customer.”
This move is part of the meal kit service’s broader strategy to implement technology into their operations to improve operations and increase customer personalisation.
