Co-op has launched a new breakfast meal deal that allows customers to pick up a hot breakfast roll for 30p when purchasing a regular Costa Coffee in-store.

The offer, available at more than 700 Co-op stores nationwide, gives shoppers a combined breakfast of a Costa Express coffee and a Co-op hot roll for £3.50, saving up to £1.95 compared to standard prices.

Customers can choose from 18 Costa Express drinks, including regular coffees priced at £3.20, alongside Co-op’s Bacon Breakfast Roll, Sausage Breakfast Roll, or Omelette Sandwich, each usually priced at £2.25.

It is understood that the combined deal with Costa Express, which the convenience retailer has partnered with since 2018, typically costs £5.45 when purchased separately.

Co-op said the move aims to make “dark mornings that little bit brighter” while appealing to time-pressed commuters and workers looking for affordable breakfast options on the go.

Co-op food to go buyer Caroline Brilley added: “Our latest breakfast offer allows Co-op customers to grab a great-value, great-tasting British breakfast roll and a hot drink to set them up for the day ahead.

“As a convenience retailer with stores across the UK, we’re perfectly placed to serve up a quality, convenient breakfast.”

Tea drinkers can also benefit from the promotion, with Costa teas and short drinks, normally £2.40, included in the deal.

The offer will be rolled out across the convenience giants new-format Micro stores, which launched in July to cater to growing demand for “food-on-the-go” missions such as breakfast, lunch, and evening top-ups.
