Asda has announced the launch of its festive meal deal, which includes a main, a snack and a drink for £3.74 for all customers, with no loyalty cards needed.

This marks the cheapest festive meal deal offer among major UK supermarkets.

Asda’s sales for Christmas sandwiches rose by 5.4% year-over-year and the retailer expects to sell 50,000 festive meal deals this year.

The retailer’s new range includes three new mains as well as three new snacks, including Pigs Under Blanket Sandwich (£2.86) and Festive Ham & Brie Brioche Roll (£3.26).

The new range was inspired by traditional Christmas sandwiches and customer favourites designed to meet the growing consumer demand for festive meal deals.

This move is part of Asda’s push towards providing the most affordable meal deals in the UK, previously launching the cheapest meal deal in September.

Asda Food to Go buyer Amy Wotherspoon said at the time: “At Asda, we believe great value should be available to everyone.

“That’s why we’re launching the new £3.74 Meal Deal that is completely open to all customers, with no app or membership required, and a big range of products to choose from so there’s something for everyone.”

The new range is available in stores and online from 28 October from Asda’s To-Go shelves.
