Nisa Local donates to local centre through Co-op’s MADL scheme
Nisa Local Otterbourne has made a £2,000 donation for Pavilion on the Park in Eastleigh through Co-op’s Making A Difference Locally programme.
The donation was made through Co-op Wholesale’s MADL programme funds, after the independent retailer nominated the centre for MADL’s Thrive in 2025 Heart of the Community Award.
Elliott, assistant store manager of Nisa Local Otterbourne, said: “We’re proud to support Pavilion on the Park, which plays such an important role in bringing people together and supporting wellbeing in Eastleigh.
”Thanks to Co-op Wholesale’s Making a Difference Locally charity, our store has now been able to donate over £23,000 to good causes in Otterbourne, Winchester and the surrounding area.”
Kate Carroll, social value lead at Co-op Wholesale, added: “This is a fantastic example of how local retailers can use MADL to support projects that strengthen communities and help them to thrive.”

The Pavilion on the Park, which received the donation, is a community centre which supports local residents with a wide range of services.
Alison Stubbington, project co-ordinator at Pavilion on the Park, added: “We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded this donation and are so grateful to Nisa Local Otterbourne for nominating us.
”This funding will make a real difference to the services and opportunities we can offer the local community; some of these funds have already been used to help families in need through food vouchers and groceries.”
This move builds on Co-op Wholesale’s commitment to backing community and charitable initiatives, recently teaming up with multiple independent retailers to make donations.
