Iceland launches in-store same day scheduled delivery in industry-first
Iceland has partnered with last-mile delivery specialist Stuart to roll out the UK’s first same-day scheduled grocery delivery service.
The initiative, which follows a successful trial across nine stores, will now expand to an additional 120 Iceland sites nationwide.
It allows customers to shop in-store from Iceland’s full range and then book a two-hour delivery slot later the same day, covering products such as frozen essentials, as well as bulky grocery items.

It is understood deliveries will be made using Stuart’s Large Transport Type Fleet, with more than half (53%) carried out on low-emission vehicles, helping the frozen food specialist meet rising demand for both convenience and sustainability.
The move marks the latest step in Iceland’s efforts to bridge online and in-store shopping experiences, giving customers more flexibility by ending the inconvenience of carrying large shopping baskets home.
Stuart chief revenue officer Ricardo Amorim said; “We’re excited to be partnering with a leading brand such as Iceland to introduce innovative and sustainable delivery options that meet the evolving expectations of today’s shoppers.”
“The scheduled same-day delivery service offers new levels of convenience to Iceland customers while maintaining the quality and choice they expect from in-store shopping”.
