Lidl’s £435m investment in distribution centres
Lidl has announced a £435m investment into expanding and upgrading its warehouse sites to enhance its customer service and logistics network.
The discounter invested £285m across two buildings in its Belvedere site in London. A new warehouse worth £160m was constructed, and the original warehouse underwent a renovation to expand overall capacity. It will support 120 stores once completed.

“But these investments are not just about logistics. The updates today also represent an investment in our mission to make good food accessible to households across the country.”
Additionally, Lidl is constructing a £150m warehouse in Gildersome, Leeds. The new developments will create a more than 500 jobs at the two sites.
