Co-op partners with EG On the Move to unveil new 24-hour forecourt site
Co-op has partnered with EG On the Move to launch a new roadside forecourt and convenience site in Stowmarket, combining fuel, food and EV services under one roof.
The 24-hour site on the A1308 Needham Road is the first opening following last year’s trial sites and is part of the convenience giant’s wider ambition to roll out more joint locations later this year.
The new forecourt includes four Ultra Rapid EV chargers and eight fuel pumps offering standard and premium grades. Air, vacuum and jet wash facilities will also be available.
Operating as a Co-op franchise, the convenience store is open 24/7 and features everything from fresh produce and ready meals to hot food, self-serve Starbucks coffee, and meal deals for on-the-go and food-for-later missions.

“We are focused on scaling our franchise business, this is the first site to open together following our successful trial, and we are exploring more locations for joint growth.
“By combining our membership , convenience knowledge, tailored product ranges, and automated supply, with EG On The Move’s fuel and franchise expertise, we will bring the benefits of Co-op to more communities together.”
EG On the Move CEO Zuber Issa added: “As a trusted, quality, convenience retailer our partnerships with Co-op aligns with EG On The Move as an acknowledged petrol forecourt and convenience retail destination operator, we are delighted to collaborate on our latest site, and we look forward to growing our relationship with Co-op in the future.
The move comes as Co-op continues to scale its franchise model, tapping into new convenience growth channels. Yesterday (31 July), the retailer unveiled its first-of-a-kind new “food-to-go” store format aimed at busy shoppers looking for fast, fresh food.
