M&S to open flagship 93,000 sq ft concept store
Marks & Spencer (M&S) is set to introduce its latest store concept at Merry Hill, following a significant investment from both the retailer and the centre’s landlord.
The revamped store will see M&S consolidate its two existing sites into one enlarged unit next to Primark, covering 93,000 sq ft.
The newly designed space will include expanded fashion departments across clothing, alongside enhanced home, beauty, and food hall areas, including a standalone M&S café, which will also be introduced within the mall for the first time.
The new concept store is due to open in late 2025, marking the retailer’s long-term commitment to the centre, where it has had a presence for 35 years.

“The last couple of years have been transformational for Merry Hill, and agreeing with M&S to invest in the destination means we’re carrying that momentum forward,” CBRE sovereign centros executive director Graeme Jones.
He added: “They have a strong legacy here and the move into one store will provide them with a great platform for growth which will also benefit the centre as a whole, particularly our customers.
“It’s no coincidence that M&S’ investment has come to Merry Hill, joining our super regional peers in having the latest concept from a brand every destination wants. That makes this collaboration incredibly important as it means we can showcase M&S as a key anchor tenant with a lasting commitment to Merry Hill, delivering the best experience possible for our visitors.”
