Tesco expands Clubcard points to EV charging
Tesco has expanded its partnership with Pod to allow customers to earn Clubcard points when charging electric vehicles at its stores for the first time.
From today, Clubcard holders will be able to collect one point for every £1 spent at Pod’s Vauxhall-branded EV chargers located at the supermarket chains‘ car parks across the UK.
As part of the new offer, Tesco and Pod are also giving away 2,500 Clubcard points to new customers who sign up to Pod Drive, the brand’s all-inclusive home charging subscription. That’s worth £25 in Tesco vouchers or £50 when used with Clubcard Reward Partners.
To access the reward, customers must start their Pod Drive order through a dedicated offer page and link their Clubcard account during sign-up. Points will be credited once the home charger is installed.

“Our customers have long been able to collect points on fuel from Tesco, but with an increasing number of drivers switching to electric vehicles we are delighted that shoppers will now be able to collect Clubcard points when they charge their cars at our stores, thanks to our exciting partnership with Pod,” said Tesco Group membership and loyalty director Shama Wilson.
Pod CEO Melanie Lane added: “We’re thrilled to deepen our longstanding partnership with Tesco and provide an incentive for Clubcard members to make the switch to an EV and join over a quarter million customers that trust Pod with their charging needs.”
Pod has worked with the grocery retailer since 2019, and its current network, in partnership with Vauxhall, includes over 2,600 EV charging bays at more than 600 Tesco locations nationwide.
The partnership aims to make EV charging more convenient and rewarding, encouraging more shoppers to switch to electric vehicles as part of their everyday shopping routine.
