Sainsbury’s launches biggest ever Aldi Price Match range
Sainsbury’s is bolstering its Aldi Price Match offer with the addition of more than 100 products chosen to “supercharge summer value”.
The grocery giant said the expansion will bring its Aldi Price Match offering to 800 products, a number it has claimed is higher than at any other retailer.
As of today (23 April), the new products will include everyday essentials, such as shower gel, handwash, cotton wool and, for the first time, period care products.
Sainsbury’s is also expanding its ranges across popular categories such as bacon, sausages, feta, and pet food, alongside a wider selection of picnic essentials, including dips, quiche, sausage rolls, pork pies and ice cubes.

The supermarket chain is also adding more red, white and sparkling wine varieties to its Aldi Price Match campaign, including Champagne, Cava, and Prosecco.
Sainsbury’s commercial director for fresh and convenience Richard Crampton said: “With household costs going up, we’re working tirelessly to keep prices low for customers when doing their big shop at Sainsbury’s.
“With the biggest ever Aldi Price Match, we’re introducing hot weather favourites such as dips, ice cubes and fizz as well as family staples such as shower gel, cotton wool and period care, ensuring shoppers budgets can go even further this summer.”
The expansion comes despite rival grocer Asda having completely axed its Aldi and Lidl price match earlier this year.

I wish they would make their mind up – they recently walked away from that. Also running an Ad Campaign saying they aren’t (relatively) expensive – they most certainly are!
