M&S promotes CEO of Gist and food logistics director
Marks and Spencer has promoted its current Clothing & Home division head of logistics, Kevin Bennett, to head up its food division as its new CEO of Gist and food logistic director.
M&S acquired its principal food contract logistics provider Gist in 2022, in a bid to drive modernisation of the high street retailer’s supply chain.
Bennett’s appointment sees him replace current Gist CEO Nick Hay, who stepped down to explore other opportunities outside M&S, reported The Grocer. Previously, Bennett held the role of logistics director at Kingfisher Group and B&Q, following a 25-year stint at logistics company Wincanton.
