Morrisons rolls out braille menus to increase accessibility in cafés
Morrisons is rolling out braille menus across its UK cafés nationwide in a bid to increase accessibility for visually impaired customers.
Each location will have a braille menu available, featuring the same meal options and deals written in the combination of raised dots.
Morrisons director of café Sean Gill said: “We are always looking for ways to better support our customers and the rollout of our braille menus comes as a direct result of listening to those who visit our cafés and are visually impaired.

“The change will make a big difference for the people that need it the most and we look forward to making our cafés a more inclusive experience for all our customers to enjoy tasty food at an affordable price.”
It marks the latest customer-facing initiative introduced by CEO Rami Baitiéh, who pledged to “refresh” the supermarket after taking the helm in 2023.
Other changes introduced so far include digital screens and an AI app, child-friendly checkouts, ‘stop and rest’ areas, extended quiet hours and allowing shoppers to join management meetings.
Last month, the grocer unveiled that its turnaround had picked up momentum after it recorded its strongest fourth quarter sales since the start of 2021 and as full-year underlying profits jumped 11.2% to £835m.
