Iceland Foods donates delivery van to Ukraine humanitarian mission
Iceland Foods has donated a home delivery van to transport urgent medical supplies to Ukraine’s frontline.
As part of a humanitarian mission led by non-profit company The Mighty Convoy, the van will join the eleventh convoy making the 1,251-mile journey from Teddington to Lviv in Ukraine, where it will be deployed by local military and charity officials.
This latest mission includes two converted ambulances, two pick-up trucks, and a refrigerated Iceland home delivery van, carrying two incubators and other medical supplies donated by the Royal London Hospital and the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

Iceland Foods executive chairman Richard Walker said: “The work being done by The Mighty Convoy and other aid charities is absolutely vital. It’s crucial that those on the front line, including civilians, continue to receive life-saving medical supplies.
“When I first heard about The Mighty Convoy’s mission and the incredible difference they’re making on the ground, I knew Iceland had to do its part and support this incredible cause.
He added: “Several medical supplies need to be kept at precise temperatures, and our refrigerated delivery van will ensure these critical supplies get to the people who need them, when they need them most.”
It’s not the first time the frozen food retailer has shown support for Ukraine, having stocked the country’s most popular beer brand Chernigivske in stores nationwide in 2022, with all profits from sales going towards humanitarian relief.
