Mars Wrigley is bringing back its “cult favourite” Milky Way Crispy Rolls alongside new Twix and Bounty variants.

The confectionery manufacturer said the re-launch of Milky Way Crispy Rolls looks to tap into growing demand for nostalgic products.

The chocolate wafer product, which was removed from supermarket shelves in 2022, will once again roll out across grocery, convenience and wholesale channels from 1 February in a single format, alongside the new Twix and Bounty Crispy Rolls variants.

It comes as according to Mars, research shows that 70% of shoppers seek a unique, multi-texture chocolate experience, with chocolate wafers making up 20% of the chocolate bar category.

Mars Wrigley Twix brand manager Lauren Godfrey said: “This is going to be an exciting year for Crispy Rolls. This range features well-known and loved brands from the Mars Wrigley portfolio, tapping into shopper demand for varying textures and flavours, and is sure to drive excitement and enjoyment within confectionery aisles.”

It follows a move by Mars last September to bring back its beloved Marathon chocolate bar (previously known as Snickers) to British supermarket shelves after a 34-year hiatus.

The bar, which was available for a limited-time offering, formed part of the company’s celebration of more than 90 years of chocolate manufacturing in the UK.
