Bestway Retail boosts leadership team with senior hires from Morrisons and Spar
Bestway Retail has strengthened its senior leadership team with three new senior hires as it looks to accelerate growth.
The Bestway Wholesale company, which operates several retail brands, including Best-one, Costcutter, Bargain Booze and Wine Rack, will see Nick Russell rejoining the business as head of symbol.
Russell, who previously worked for Costcutter until 2021, will lead the independent Best-one and Costcutter estates. Prior to rejoining Bestway, he worked at Morrisons Daily as head of independent franchise and new business.
Steve Moore, who also previously worked for Costcutter is rejoining the business from Parfett’s where he was head of retail, leading the sales and support teams.

In his new role, Moore will lead the Midlands and South Wales team from January 2025 as regional controller for Costcutter and Best-one.
Rodney Tucker has also rejoined the organisation in the new business and acquisitions team where he will drive the recruitment of new business in the Southwest and South Wales territories.
Previously, Tucker held regional management positions within both Costcutter and Best-One, and rejoins from Spar Appleby Westward where he was sales director and most recently led the new business function.
