The collaboration marks the second year of the $1m (£764,000) partnership, with this year’s design inspired by Elton John’s favourite show at the Dodger Stadium in 1975.

It was prompted by a birthday social media post from Elton John in 2021 where eagle-eyed fans spotted the star’s collection of Marmite pots in the background.

This year, the tie-up with the Unilever-owned yeast extract brand has been bolstered by the incorporation of a metallic foiling finish to the packaging in a bid to capture the energy of the music legend’s shows.

The limited-edition products will be available to purchase in Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Morrisons for £3.00, with proceeds going to the Elton John Aids Foundation. Founded in 1992, the charity has raised more than $600m (£458.4m) to fund over 3,100 projects across 95 countries.

The launch has been supported by a clip of Elton John celebrating his prized collection of Marmite jars, complete with the latest addition, which he labels “just fabulous”.

Unilever nutrition UK and Ireland marketing director Georgina Bradford said: “We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate the continuation of our three-year partnership with the Elton John Aids Foundation.

“With the launch of this jar, we are adding a touch of sparkle and glam to breakfast moments across the country. As Elton’s favourite breakfast spread, we had to celebrate one of his most memorable shows!”

Elton John Aids Foundation CEO Anne Aslett added that the collaboration was “imperative” for spreading the “vital message” about the impact of aids and the non-profit foundation’s efforts to tackle it.

Aslett said: “We are incredibly grateful to Marmite for our ongoing partnership. Their $1m donation will help us provide support and care to those most at risk of HIV and importantly, through this successful collaboration we are able to raise awareness of our mission to end aids for all.”
