Rolling out into all food halls from today (12 June), the new pizzas feature a hand stretched 30-hour fermented dough to provide “authentic Italian flavour”, with the M&S food team having visited Naples and eaten in over 50 restaurants.
Flavours include a limited-edition chicken tikka masala, Calabrian pepperoni and ‘nduja, chicken arrabbiata, prosciutto and three cheese, and fennel salami and potato.

M&S food product development manager Marie Ford said: “For the last year we have worked on improving our best tier pizzas, the Collection pizzas, even further to give customers the best pizzas on the high street.
“We visited more than 50 restaurants in Naples to try as many different Italian ingredients as possible, and after a lot of taste tests we knew that to create the ultimate pizzas it was all about the base (as the song goes).
“We set out to use traditional Italian milled 00 flour and 30 hour fermented dough to give the pizza the perfect bite and topped them off with delicious toppings.”
