Sainsbury’s hides ‘Nectar Purple’ Diet coke cans in new promotion

Sainsbury’s has collaborated with Coca-Cola in a new campaign cutting the price of Diet Coke and launching new limited edition ‘Nectar Purple’ cans.

Shoppers at the supermarket will now be able to save a third on Diet Coke, with 24x330ml packs available for £6.75, down from £10.75.

Alongside the lower prices, the grocer is also launching an exclusive Nectar prize draw, where 100 hand-painted ‘Nectar Purple’ Diet Coke cans have been hidden inside 24-can packs across Sainsbury’s stores.

The campaign will see 100 Nectar customers who find the special Nectar purple cans awarded £100 worth of Nectar points to spend online or in-store at Argos and Sainsbury’s or to convert into Avios Points.

Sainsbury’s food chief commercial officer Rhian Bartlett said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Diet Coke, offering an incredible deal on the 24-pack to kick off the summer, as well as launching the first exclusive Nectar product prize draw of its kind with a search for the distinctive purple can.

“Our customers are huge fans of Diet Coke, so we’re thrilled to offer them this incredible price, saving over a third with Nectar Prices just in time for the warmer weather.”

Diet Coke senior director Louise Maugest added: “It’s brilliant to be teaming up with Sainsbury’s to launch this unique prize draw. It wouldn’t be summer without a Diet Coke, and we hope fans enjoy the hunt for the 100 limited purple cans and chance to win £100 worth of Nectar points.”

The campaign will run from 29 May until 18 June.
