Spar to stock new Nestlé Aero strawberry bar
Convenience chain Spar is set to be the first retailer in the UK to stock a new Aero chocolate strawberry-flavoured bar.
Launched by parent company Nestlé, the new sharing bar combines the confectionery brand‘s traditional milk chocolate shell with a strawberry ‘bubble’ flavoured centre.
Nestlé said the new product will be available in Spar stores from 16 May at £1.35, before rolling out in wholesale and other convenience stores next month.

It follows the introduction of a new Aero chocolate hazelnut bar earlier this year, which has since been listed in supermarkets including Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Iceland.
Aero assistant brand manager Michael Kehoe said: “We’re excited to share our new Aero Strawberry flavour sharing bar with Aero fans across the UK and Ireland.
“It brings together a smooth milk chocolate shell with those signature Aero bubbles in a strawberry flavour centre. We know that anticipation for the new bar has been building, and we’re thrilled to announce that the wait is nearly over.”
The new confectionery innovation comes after Nestlé successfully blocked a group of rebel shareholders who urged the FMCG giant to stop selling so much chocolate.
Last month, a rebel coalition of shareholders lost a vote that called for the Swiss company to reform its portfolio and “dramatically improve its impact on people’s health”.
