Tango launches Ice Blast flavours in bottled on-the-go format

Tango is rolling out its iconic Ice Blast flavours in a new, limited-edition ready-to-drink format in a bid to engage Gen Z.

From 22 April, the Raspberry Blast and Cherry Blast flavours will be available exclusively to the convenience channel in 500ml on-the-go bottles at an MRSP of £1.99.

Britvic retail commercial director Ben Parker said: “We know this has been an anticipated launch, and we’re pleased to finally announce the exclusive launch to the convenience channel.

“As well as the delicious flavours, the eye-catching packaging and vibrant liquids will make Tango Blast unmissable on shelves and in chillers. So, we expect the launch to appeal to fans of the brand who have come to expect something bold and different from Tango, while attracting new shoppers too.”

It comes as Britvic’s research with the Association of Convenience Stores (ACS) found that 57% of people who have purchased soft drinks said it was the main reason they went to their local convenience store.

Parker added: “The category presents a huge opportunity in the channel, which is why we’re supporting it with the exclusive launch of the already popular Tango Ice Blast flavours in a ready-to-drink format.”

It follows the launch of products such as Tango Berry Peachy and Paradise Punch, as well as sugar-free Tango Mango, which the brand said aims to “respond to consumer demands for healthier products.”
