Iceland launches 1p vegetable sale in run up to Christmas

Iceland is offering a range of frozen vegetables and fresh produce for 1p to help shoppers budgets go further this Christmas.

The deal will be available to the frozen food retailer’s online customers from 21 to 22 December across products such as carrots, white potatoes, parsnips, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cauliflower and petits pois.

Shoppers can redeem the offer by using the code ‘PENNY-VEG’ at checkout, providing up to £1.99 off the order.

Iceland Foods executive chairman Richard Walker said: “We’re confident that our 1p online exclusive veg deal will be a big hit with customers, helping Christmas dinner budgets go further and lightening some of the financial pressures so they can enjoy the best festive period possible.”

This comes as Iceland has vowed to support customers during the cost-of-living crisis by keeping prices low.

In November, the supermarket chain doubled its £1 or less price freeze initiative, rolling it out to more than 1,000 value products.

Earlier this month, Iceland also re-launched its ’12 Deals of Christmas’ promotion which provided online and in-store customers with discounts on up to 26 products across categories including confectionery, savoury snacks and freezer fillers.
