Iceland brings back ’12 deals of Christmas’ discounts

Iceland’s ’12 Deals of Christmas’ promotion has returned following the scheme’s popularity among shoppers last year.

The frozen food retailer is rolling out discounts online today (8 December) and in-store tomorrow on up to 26 products across categories including confectionery, savoury snacks and freezer fillers.

For the first four days of the deals, savings can be found on Quality Street chocolate tubs and Celebrations milk chocolate biscuit bars sharing tubs, Iceland’s luxury cracker selection and turkey crowns, Christmas puddings, Aunt Bessie’s roast potatoes and Iceland’s beef dripping roast potatoes.

Further deals will be announced throughout the week on the retailer’s social channels.

The promotion comes as Iceland found that 66% of the nation agree that supermarkets should do more at Christmas time to support customers and over half want grocers to offer discounts on Christmas food.

More than a third (35%) will be using these savings or offers this year to prepare for the big day.

Iceland Foods and The Food Warehouse executive chairman Richard Walker said: “We know how tough it can be to feed the family during Christmas period, and we are firmly committed to providing value to our shoppers and literally putting it back on the dinner table this festive season, making family favourites more accessible through the cost-of-living crisis.

“This comes following a flurry of initiatives we have launched to keep prices low and support our customers, including the decision to forego a Christmas TV ad and instead invest the funds in freezing prices and continue to offer value to shoppers.”
