Getir is rolling out its Black Friday grocery deals earlier this year as the cost-of-living crisis continues.

From now until the end of November, the price cuts will be available across 50 items including British sirloin steak, HG Walter bacon, fresh fruit and Lurpak butter.

Customers can get five free fresh grocery items via the ultrafast grocery delivery firm’s app when spending a minimum of £20.

Getir UK general manager Karthik Harith said: ‘’Our mission at Getir has always been to make everyday life easier for our customers.

“As we observe the challenges brought about by rising grocery costs and the mounting energy bills necessary for heating during the winter, we’re striving to offer a helping hand.

“By advancing our offerings and extending them throughout November, we aim to provide consumers with savings on what they genuinely require, especially as household bills continue to soar across the UK.’’

This comes as Getir has acquired New York City-based online grocery company FreshDirect from grocery retail group Ahold Delhaize.
