Amazon has opened a new Fresh convenience store in Moorgate, adding to its portfolio of London sites.
The newly opened store offers products from the retailer’s private food brand ‘by Amazon’ and its premium grocery range ‘Our Selection’, as well as staples including British meat, poultry, fish, dairy, fruit and veg, bakery and prepared meals.
The new Moorgate site will feature a non-gated entrance, with customers able to scan their in-store code via the Amazon app at the exit gate or pay by tapping their credit or debit card.
The move adds to the tech giant’s Just Walk Out technology-powered locations, bringing the total number of sites to 18.
Amazon Fresh stores director Matt Birch said: “Whether you’re popping in for a morning coffee and croissant, lunchtime Meal Deal or grabbing a few items for dinner on the way home, we think customers will love shopping in our newest Amazon Fresh store.
