Valeo Foods has appointed former Nomad Foods managing director, Wayne Hudson as the lead of its UK snacks division.
The temporary role will see Hudson responsible for confectionary brands such as Fox’s, Glacier, Henry Goode’s and Fruit Salad, as well as crisp brands Kettle and Manomasa.
Hudson will be taking over the postition from Ashley Hicks, who has moved to a wider operational role at the company.

Priot to his new appointment, Hudon worked as managing director at Nomad Foods and Birsdeye, before stepping down from the roles at the end of 2022.
Having been involved in the food and drink industry for 40 years, he has also taken on roles including managing director of frozen for Youngs Seafood and business unit controller for United Biscuits frozen and chilled division.
Hudson’s longest standing positions include at Kerry Foods where he held commerial director roles for over 13 years, as well as various commercial roles at Nestle Purina for 14 years.
A spokesperson for Valeo told the Grocer that Hudson will bring “a wealth of experience and a strong skillset” from “an extensive career across the food industry”.
Hudson added: “Over the next few months, I am looking forward to working closely with the executive team at Valeo Snacks on the next phase of its development under Bain Capital ownership.”
