Kettle Chips has launched a new packaging redesign showcasing illustrations of key ingredients to highlight the real food in its crisps.
As the UK’s number one hand-cooked crisp brand, the new packaging features the brand’s signature ‘field to factory’ journey, highlighting the origin of the product.
The new packs began to rollout in stores and major retailers last month, with the snack products also being sustainable and suitable for recycling at green bins at the front of major retailers, signified by the On-pack Recycling Label Symbol (OPRL).
The crisp brand has taken over 160 tonnes of plastic out of its packaging since 2020 and the latest change will remove a further 50 tonnes annually.
“The new foodie cues on the front of our redesigned packs will really help emphasise that there’s more to Kettle than you think,” marketing director at Kettle’s parent company Valeo Snackfoods, Russell Tanner said.
He added: “It’s an exciting development for the brand which helps keep our packs fresh, modern and vibrant while retaining the distinctive colour coding and logo which makes Kettle so easy to find on the shelves.”
Tanner continued to say that he is pleased the new packaging features the OPRL logo, as “we know that sustainability is important to our customers and it’s also really important to our business too – so it’s excellent to be able to offer the great taste of Kettle Chips in a format that is clearly recyclable.”
