Waitrose ‘Great Savings Event’ offers up to 50% off across thousands of products

Waitrose has unveiled a new money-saving scheme with offers of up to 50% off  across thousands of products through its myWaitrose initiative.

Running until 24 January, the offer – named the Great Saving Event – is designed to help customers save cash on a range of cupboard staples amid the cost-of-living crisis.

The myWaitrose offers includes discounts on products shoppers buy most; such as a free hot drink with any purchase for members who download the Caffe Nero App and link with their myWaitrose card.

Customers can also save up to a third on vegan products for Veganuary this month, and the supermarket is also offering 2 for £8 across a range of its own-brand chicken, meat and fish products.

Additionally, Waitrose launched its second wave of Super Saver Recipes, which includes 12 new recipes that cost less than £2 a portion.

“We’re helping customers tick off their shopping list for less this January with some great offers across a whole range of products, from chicken and mince to canned tomatoes, laundry detergent, tea and toothpaste,” commercial planner at Waitrose, Leyla Paige said.

“With the cost of living crisis, we know customers are keener than ever to find a good deal. That’s why we introduced ‘Waitrose Ways to Spend Less’, highlighting value-for-money deals that customers can take advantage of all year round.”

Paige added: “Our ‘Waitrose Ways to Spend Less’ campaign highlights deals including myWaitrose offers, as well as multibuys and household items, new meal deals –  including a £9 meal for two from our PlantLiving range – our Essential Waitrose range, and budget recipes.”

The news comes as shoppers at Waitrose donated the equivalent of over two million meals last year to support food banks during the cost-of-living crisis.
