Ocado and Planet Organic to roll out allplants meals

Plant-based meal brand allplants is set to roll out in supermarkets for the first time, launching in Ocado and Planet Organic this month.

The selection set to hit stores and the online-only grocery retailer include its Protein Powder Buddha Bowl, Mac and Greens, Sticky Teriyaki Udon Noodles and Truffle Mushroom Orzo, all with an RRP from £5.50, while other dishes in its range will still be available via the brand’s online store.

This marks its first step outside of the direct-to-consumer eCommerce model as it looks to reach more plant-based shoppers.

Also aiming to bring a healthier ready meal to the freezer aisle, each are balanced by a nutritionist, contain at least two of a consumers five a day and are cooked in the brand’s north London kitchen by a team of over 100 innovative chefs.

As part of the retail launch, allplants is also unveiling its new visual identity with revamped packaging that includes bright colours.

“Our mission at allplants is to change the world with plant-based eating, by giving busy people supremely delicious, healthy wholefood meals, prepared by our chefs at the allplants North London kitchen,” allplants founder and CEO, Jonathan Petrides said.

“Launching into retail means people can buy allplants outside of our website for the first time, making it far more convenient to buy, and creating even more momentum for the future of food that we’re trying to build.

“Our meals provide a convenient, healthy, and most importantly, delicious way to make a choice with your food that’s hugely beneficial for society and the planet. It’s an exciting moment for allplants, and we can’t wait to welcome even more people to join the movement.”
