HelloFresh has launched its service in Ireland as it looks to expand the recipe box market.
Investing in the country by operating a local supply chain, the roll out will be providing 100% Irish raised beef and chicken from farmers that comply with all regulatory standards, as well as Irish dairy producers.
As part of the move, HelloFresh will be operating a distribution centre nearby Dublin where all boxes will be delivered from.
Prior to the launch which took place this week, the recipe box company carried out detailed research with Irish customers to understand consumer food preferences and tailor its menu offerings.
This comes as part of HelloFresh’s international expansion which currently sees the company operating in 18 markets on four continents.
“We’re delighted to launch HelloFresh in Ireland today. Our aim is to combine HelloFresh’s global expertise in the recipe box sector with Ireland’s quality local food produce, delivering standout, convenient and delicious meals to our Irish customers,” HelloFresh Ireland CEO Philip Doran.
“We know from our in-depth research that Irish people’s shopping and cooking habits have profoundly changed over the last few years. We aim to revolutionise the way people eat and cook in Ireland in a cost effective, sustainable way.”
He added: “We want to radically innovate the traditional food system, creating an eco-friendly business model and quality local supply chain that links the producer directly to the customer. We see Ireland as the perfect place to do this and we look forward to growing the sector over the coming months and years.”
