Chapel Down Group has appointed Liam Newton as its new chief marketing officer to lead the next phase in developing the brand.
As part of his new role at the wine producer, Newton will also be responsible for all aspects of marketing with his remit including Chapel Down Group’s Direct-to-Consumer Ecommerce business as well as its visitor experience in Tenterden, Kent.
Prior to his current appointment, Newton has worked in a range of roles within the beverage sector and was most recently the vice president of marketing for Carlsberg Group, a position he held for five years.
Others include marketing director at Bacardi Brown-Forman, brands director at AB InBev and head of brand marketing at Nestlé Rowntree.
Throughout these roles, Newton has managed a portfolio of drink brands such as San Miguel, Grey Goose, Bombay Sapphire, Jack Daniels, as well as Bacardi and Carlsberg.
