Heinz has released its new range of frozen ready meals coming in three different varieties.
The UK food brand unveiled its Heinz Beanz Bowls, which come in Herby Tomato, Smoky Chilli and Fragrant Coconut flavours.
The bowls feature the Heinz’s signature baked beans and an assortment of other plant-based ingredients, and are being sold for a recommended retail price of £2.50.
Each ready meal is just under 400 calories and provides between up to four portions of the recommended 5 vegetables a day.
They provide a “perfect solution for a quick, convenient and easy plant-based meal,” said Heinz.
The new products are currently available at Asda, Iceland and Ocado and come shortly after the release of the Heinz Beans Burgerz and Heinz Filled Hash Browns.
“Beans are brilliant, tasty little parcels of goodness,” head of growth platform for New Ventures at Heinz, Sophie Higgins said.
“That’s what lead to us dreaming up our new Heinz Beanz Bowls ready meal range – a completely new way to enjoy all types of beans – and are absolutely delicious, packed with goodness, and ready in minutes.”
“Stick a few in the freezer and you’ll have the perfect quick lunch or dinner ready to go for those days when you don’t have the time or inclination to cook but still want something wholesome and tasty, with up to 4 of your 5 a day – or a whopping 20g of protein – in a single bowl.”
“No-one knows Beanz like Heinz does, and we want to show the world how amazing and versatile they are.”
