Bestway to launch ‘aggressive rollout of’ Bargain Booze within Costcutter stores by end of 2023

Wholesaler Bestway has revealed plans to unveil 25 dual-branded stores by the end of next year.

According to The Grocer, the Bestway and Bargain Booze fascia will see an “aggressive rollout” with a target of 75 stores each year.

Last month, the wholesaler opened its second dual branded Costcutter and Bargain Booze store in Whiston, Prescot.

The aim of the stores to incorporate the innovative ‘store within a store’ concept, featuring chilled and grocery range, encompassing a wide range of Co-Op own label products, together with a new and extensive Food To Go section.

“They are enquiring about this concept as it is positioned to be able to compete against all convenience operators,” Bestway retail director Mike Hollis told The Grocer.

”We are also talking to retailers who are looking at new to industry locations for a new store.”

Hollis added: “This is an exciting and innovative concept that will most certainly play a significant part in our business’ future.”
