Goodfella’s non-HFSS pizza trio

Goodfella’s has launched three HFSS compliant pizzas in the flavours: Stonebaked Sloppy Joe, Stonebaked Thin Mushroom, Spinach & Garlic and Dep Pan Baked Spicy Chicken Sizzler.

The Sloppy Joe plays into the brand’s “Italian American heritage” with an authentic style tomato sauce, mozzarella, spicy mined beef, diced green peppers on a stone baked pizza base.

The Mushroom, Spinach & Garlic pizza is aimed at the increasing number of vegetarian shoppers.

Finally, the Deep Pan Chicken Sizzler pizza features Cajun marinated chicken with a spicy drizzle and peppers.

Ocean Spray Sainsbury’s rollout

Sainsbury’s has launched its Ocean Spray‘s Sparkling Pink Cranberry carbonated fruit drink following a trial with the Big 4 grocer last year.

The cranberry flavoured drink includes vitamin C and is low in calories to attract consumers seeking a healthier, on-the-go lifestyle.

The drink is currently priced at RRP £1.19 for a 25cl can and is available in both Sainsbury’s and WH Smith.

Nestle Lindahls PRO+ Banoffee Pie flavour

Nestle Lindahls has expended its dairy brand into the PRO+ protein range with the launch of its new Banoffee Pie flavour in the UK’s chilled dairy category.

The new product combines the nutritional benefits of protein shakes and compacts it in a convenient 150g pot. The low-sugar snack designed for gym-goers also includes a 50:50 mix of whey and casein.

Currently, Nestle’s new Banoffee product is available in Sainsbury’s in the UK and Tesco in Ireland, retailing at £0.95.

Weetabix and Lyle’s Golden Syrup cereal

Weetabix has partnered with Lyle’s Golden Syrup to launch a new HFSS-compliant cereal.

Available from 24 May, Weetabix baked with Lyle’s Golden Syrup is high in fibre, low in fat and salt, and uses 100% British wholegrain wheat, ensuring it is HFSS-compliant.

The coupling of flavours blends the sweetly-caramelised flavour of Lyle’s Golden Syrup with Weetabix’s classic biscuit – but remains non-HFSS.

Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0%

Peroni Nastro Azzuro has launched a new 0.0% alcohol-free brand, which offers the same crisp, refreshing taste as its alcoholic variant.

The non-alcoholic drink will include the signature Nostrano dell’Isola maize grown in Northern Italy to emulate the same “uplifting” taste.

Additionally, the brewer’s new technology allows the signature base recipe and ingredients of Peroni Nastro Azzurro to be used – with the alcohol gently removed from it.

The drink will be available nationwide across the UK and Ireland from April 2022.
