Ocado revamps delivery service branding

Ocado has rebranded its within-an-hour grocery delivery service switching up its names, logo and colours.

Previously known as Ocado Zoom, it has been revamped as Zoom by Ocado featuring bright pink colours instead of green and blue.

The move comes after online food retailer’s massive rebranding last year which saw its website and logo swap from green to purple. The new website colour, which Ocado has duped as “grape” hopes to make “the brand’s assets clearer online” the online grocer said.

“The new look and feel allows us to stand out and mark the next chapter of our Zoom journey,” a spokesman for the company said.

“As we expand our Zoom offering and open a number of new sites this year, now feels like the right time to give our brand an exciting refresh as we look to differentiate our rapid delivery service from others on the market, and from Ocado.com.”

Zoom’s rebrand has been designed by Jones Knowles Ritchie and St Luke’s who were also in charge of the previous rebrand.

With blue, green and yellow heavily featuring in other delivery brands such as Gopuff, Zapp, Uber Eats and Deliveroo – Ocado hopes to make a departure from traditional palettes.

As a result, Zoom by Ocado’s pink logo sets is a part from Getir‘s purple and yellow logo as well and will be featured in a marketing campaign later this year.

The rebranding move comes as the online retailer revealed 5.7% year-on-year drop in revenue for the quarter in its latest trading statement.
