The online meal planner allows users to tailor a weekly meal plan from thousands of recipes, which automatically translates to a shopping list.
Through Lollipop’s interface users can directly order ingredients from Sainsbury’s online and can also select Sainsbury’s delivery slots.

Additionally, meal-plan generated orders can be supplemented by manually selected household items from Sainsbury’s.
The platform is free to use and doesn’t mark-up prices for external products.
Lollipop has confirmed its plan to introduce premium features for power users but has ensured its core function “will always be free”.
Recipes offered on the app include Lollipop’s own recipes, which have been crafted by expert chefs and nutrition partners. It also includes some recipes from BBC Good Food.
Lollipop expects to introduce every major supermarket on the platform so users can select their preferred retailer before they plan their meals.
The company consists of former Sainsbury’s, Farmdrop, Hello Fresh and Amazon employees and is led by former Monzo chief operations officer Tom Foster-Carter.
