The Midcounties Co-op has launched its click-and-collect pilot scheme across 25 locations.
The initiative is now set to reach suppliers in Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Shropshire.
The scheme will offer fresh produce from the Society’s Best of Our Counties range, which is selected from each store’s local suppliers and food producers.
The selection has only been available at the symbol group’s larger stores prior to the launch of the click and collect scheme.

According to the convenience retailer, the pilot is set to test if a wider variety of customers are interested in the selection.
It also confirmed that food hamper bundles for special occasions are available from the service, including cheese boards, roast dinners and breakfasts.
“We’re so pleased to have launched this Click and Collect service to showcase the exceptional high-quality food and produce that’s in our Best of Our Counties range,” Midcounties Co-op chief food retail officer Rupert Newman said.
“Via our new service, customers are not only helping to support local suppliers and communities after what’s been a really difficult year, they’re also helping to cut down thousands of food miles per year, which has great environmental benefits too.”
