Canned fish producer John West has launched a new range of “nutrient-rich” tuna aimed at providing younger customers with convenient and healthier food options.
The selection comes in three varieties, including ‘Heart’ with tuna in rapeseed oil high in omega three to support heart function, ‘Immunity’ with tuna in spring water and Vitamin C to support the immune system and ‘Energy’ with tuna in spring water and Vitamin B to reduce fatigue.
The range is currently available at Sainsbury’s, Asda, Ocado, Waitrose and Morrisons for an RRP of £2.00 per 110g can and £5.00 per three-can multipack.

According to the company, all its packaging is made of fully recyclable material and its multipacks are wrapped in cardboard packaging in line with its commitment to make all of its materials fully reusable or recyclable by 2025.
“We know that shoppers are more likely to buy the everyday fish category for practicality and convenience rather than health,” John West international marketing director Jon Burton said.
“There is a huge opportunity to leverage health as an innovation driver and connect with younger, more health-conscious consumers.
“We’re excited to shake up the category by unlocking new growth to bring in customers.”
