Interpath Advisory has appointed former Tesco director Christine Cross as its special advisor for FMCG clients.
In her new position, Cross will combine a “mixture” of advisory and non-executive roles with consulting to retail and manufacturing businesses, plus academic institutions.
Prior to joining the advisory firm, Cross established her company Christine Cross Ltd and since then has worked with a range of global food and non-food retail and FMCG businesses, such as Coca Cola European Partners, Hilton Food Group, Clipper Logistics, Zooplus AG and Oddbox.
Whilst at the Big 4 grocer, she was involved in the development of their private label, the establishment of their non-food business, international direct sourcing and, latterly, global business development.
At Interpath, Cross joins former chief executive officer of Lotus Cars and Sunseeker International, Phil Popham who was appointed to the firm’s advisory committee in May 2021.
“We are delighted to welcome Christine to our advisory committee,” Interpath head of advisory and ExCom member Mark Raddan said.
“Her reputation as one of the foremost advisors to companies across the FMCG, retail and manufacturing sectors is second to none, and I know that she will bring a unique and fresh perspective to our conversations with clients around the challenges and opportunities they currently face.”
Cross added: “The world is changing rapidly, and organisations are realising they have to be flexible, innovative, brave and forward-thinking if they are to seize opportunities for growth.”
