Butterkist has launched its new chocolate orange toffee flavour popcorn range.
The product will be available at Morrisons and Booker Retail Partners from July 5 will be retailing for £1.59 for 155g bags.
The popcorn brand is aiming to “target more consumer occasions” and its royal purple packaging has been designed to create associations with sweeter confectionary lines of snacks and to “provoke excitement among shoppers.”
“Butterkist is proud of its position as the nation’s favourite popcorn brand and we strive to continue to provide high quality snacks which intrigue and delight our consumers,” KP Snacks marketing director Kevin McNair said.

“Butterkist Crunchy Orange Chocolate brings a fun and modern twist to an established and much-loved brand, providing enjoyment and excitement for consumers, and a fresh and innovative flavour to the category.”
The launch comes as popcorn sharing occasions have grown by 21 per cent, as a result of lockdown restrictions easing.
According to the snack manufacturer, 91 per cent said spending family time together is very important, with 48 per cent saying snacks are a must-have for an evening in with family.
