Morrisons has launched Winny’s Kitchen in its sites, as part of its ongoing Growing British Brands programme.
The Birmingham-based business, known for its jerk sauce is now available in condiment aisles around the country, at an introductory offer of £1.50.
The sauce is born from an authentic Jamaican family recipe, made with natural ingredients in small batches with “heart and soul bringing flavour to mealtimes across the UK.”
Morrisons unveiled its Growing British Brands initiative in May 2021, offering British businesses a fast-tracked route to a national market with the potential to sell products in its stores as well as on its website and through wholesale channels like Amazon.
Successful applicants receive advice and support covering every aspect of retailing, from production to packing and marketing and logistics from a team of in-house experts.
Launched by chief executive officer David Potts, over 1000 food and drink companies have applied to the program since May.

“We’re a huge supporter of British food making but we know that getting an idea to market can be a complicated process and some companies need some help to get there,” Morrisons senior sourcing manager Darren Smith said.
“Through our Growing British Brands programme, we have been able to spot exciting brands like Winny’s Kitchen and its delicious Jerk Sauce.
“We’re really excited to see it now launch in our stores and we look forward to continuing to support Shaun and the team over the coming months.”
