Waitrose has teamed up with delivery giant Uber Eats to offer its members additional rewards on its My Waitrose loyalty scheme when placing grocery orders on the app. The new move will also offer convenient on-demand delivery for the supermarket giant’s customers.

Laura Burbedge, director of Waitrose Online, said: “Our on-demand partnerships have enabled us to bring our quality products to new food-loving customers.

“We now want to provide greater value to customers ordering via Uber Eats.  To start making savings, customers just need to link their My Waitrose account to their Uber Eats account.”

The supermarket retailer started selling its products on Uber Eats in July 2023 and has now expanded to offer around 18,000 products at over 250 locations across the UK.

This move is a part of the retailer’s strategy to meet the growing consumer demands for its products. Last year, sales from Waitrose surged by 110% on its delivery partners Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat.

Alex Troughton, Regional General Manager of Grocery and Retail at Uber Eats UK and EMEA added: “Our partnership with Waitrose is all about combining quality with convenience, and now, with offers for My Waitrose members, we’re adding even more value to the experience.”

Additionally, recent data revealed that fresh produce and healthy essentials were some of the most popularly ordered items from Waitrose and Uber Eats.

The new offer is available for existing and joining members of the My Waitrose loyalty programme and can be accessed by customers entering their loyalty number on the Uber Eats app.
