A Home Bargains spokesperson said: “We are honoured to collaborate with Tom Kitchin to bring restaurant quality meals to consumers in a convenient frozen format. This partnership reflects our shared passion for innovation and excellence in food.”

Kitchin added: “I am thrilled to partner with Home Bargains to bring my favourite dishes to freezers across the country.

“We’ve worked tirelessly to ensure that every meal delivers the same high-quality experience you’d expect in a restaurant, with the added convenience of being cooked in the home.”

Home Bargains is not the only discount chain to ramp up its grocery offerings recently. Poundland added 500 more items to its range of products priced at £1 or less, including key grocery items such as bread, eggs, milk and sugar, late last year.

Just tried the frozen lasagne. Salt. That’s all you can taste. Pure salt. Literally the most disgusting lasagne I’ve tasted in 40 years.

Shared lasagna and cottage pie with family last night. The only word I can use is SLOP. Both of the above meals are supposed to be made with mince meat. Spot the meat there wasn’t any. Can’t believe that Tom kitchen lets his name be associated with this stuff.
